FEE SCHEDULE

I am a Private Psychologist and I do not bulk bill. Please see below for the fee schedule.

The current recommended fee by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australia Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) is $300 per 50 minutes.

Individual Consult (55 minutes) $220

Assessment Session (55 minutes) $250

Please note 3-4 sessions are required and this involves a feedback session.

EMDR (55 minutes) $220

EMDR (80 minutes) $295

BSFT (55 minutes) $250

Full payment is required on the day of your appointment. Please note outstanding invoices must be paid before booking your next appointment.

REBATES

With a Mental Health Care Plan Medicare rebates can be claimed.  The rebate is currently $93.30 per session and 96.60 from 1st July 2024. Medicare rebates can be processed after your session if you bring your Medicare card.

You may be eligible for rebates from your private health insurer. Please inquire about this with your individual provider as your individual policy determines your coverage.

Please note that you cannot claim both Medicare and Private Health for the same session.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. With less than 48 hours notice the full session fee is payable.

This policy is in place to ensure that cancelled appointments can be offered to others who are on the wait list. Unfortunately fees due to late cancellation cannot be claimed on Medicare.

REFERRALS

You do not need a referral to book an appointment. However you can get a referral from your doctor (Mental Health Care Plan) if you wish. Your Mental Health Care Plan must be current (issued as generic or directly to the psychologist you are seeing within the past 12 months), and you must bring a copy on the day of your first appointment.

GETTING A CARE PLAN

Most General practitioners require you to book a double consult if you require a Mental Health Care Plan.  This ensures you both have enough time to determine the referral reason and decide on a suitable psychologist. If you have a diagnosed psychological disorder including anxiety and/or depression, or significant life stress, you are eligible for a care plan.
